Our Story

Subeih Food Industries was established in 1978 as the Nazmi Subeih Food Factory, established by Nazmi Subeih and his wife Ola Hammad. It was the first company in the Middle East to produce instant drink powders and gelatin desserts. It was also the first in Jordan to produce extruded corn snacks.
Continuing with its mission of success, the Subeih name became synonymous with excellence. Our products speak for themselves, where taste and nutrition come together for an enjoyable experience for all.

Our state-of-the-art facilities contain the latest food technologies and machinery, driven by our expertise in food technology and engineering. We combine the ethos of a family business with global standards.

Nazmi Subeih

Nazmi Subeih graduated from the University of Alexandria in Egypt in 1966 from the College of Agriculture, majoring in Food Science & Technology. He later obtained his Master’s degree in Food Quality Control from Reading University in the UK in 1973. After a career in the governmental sector as the Head of the Food Inspection Department in Jordan, Nazmi’s entrepreneurial and innovative spirit moved him to start his own food factory in 1978. In addition, he was the exclusive agent for several top international ingredients and food machinery suppliers for the Jordanian market.

Ola Hammad

Ola Hammad graduated from the American University in Beirut with a BSc in Agricultural Engineering in 1966 and an MSc in 1968 in Nutrition. She was the first lady to enter the Agriculture Department in the University’s History. After a career in the public domain, in the UN and the Ministry of Agriculture of Jordan, Ola joined her husband Nazmi in his factory full time. Together they developed the powdered drinks and snack businesses, in addition to growing the Nazmi Subeih Food Factory family of employees, some of which are still present until today.
